The Strada del Vino Nobile di Montepulciano e dei Sapori della Valdichiana Senese is the Association set up since 1998 to enhance and promote the beauty and the diversity of Valdichiana Senese territory, in the South of Tuscany.
The Association is composed of “Vino Nobile di Montepulciano” wine producers, farms which produce excellent traditional local food, restaurants, wine bars and shops, and professionals in the hospitality and spa sectors, alongside local organisations in the municipalities of Cetona, Chianciano Terme, Chiusi, Montepulciano, San Casciano dei Bagni, Sarteano, Sinalunga, Torrita di Siena, and Trequanda, as well as the Union of Valdichiana Senese Municipalities.
Strada’s aim is to share in the most authentic way the knowledge of Valdichiana Senese, from its natural heritage to its wealth of spas, from its celebrated food and drink to its historic and cultural significance, through many activities.

Our office is located in Piazza Grande n. 7, Montepulciano, just in front of the Duomo.
Closest Parkings (pay and display and free) are located 200 meters from Piazza Grande: Parking San Donato and Parking Fortezza.

At our Office you can find information about all Valdichiana Senese area: most important things to see, most interesting activities, events not to be missed and all information about accommodation, restaurants, wineries, local producers of specialties and thermal baths in the area.

It is recommended to book visits to wineries / dairy / farms in advance.
It is not necessary to book a visit to the underground cellars of Montepulciano town centre, but it is preferable to book in case your group is large (more than 10 people).

Valdichiana Senese is an area located in Southern Tuscany, one hour far from Florence and 1 hour far from Rome. You can reach Valdichiana senese by:
Car
Autostrada A1: exit A1 Valdichiana if you are arriving from the north, or exit A1 Chiusi – Chianciano Terme if you are arriving from the south.
Siena – Perugia highway: exit Sinalunga or Bettolle.
Cassia – main road: if you arrive from Siena follow signs for San Quirico d’Orcia, Pienza and Montepulciano exit ; if you arrive from Rome follow signs for Monticchiello and Montepulciano, Gallina exit.
