The agricultural company “Il Molinaccio” was established in 2012, after turning the beautiful house built up on the ruins of an ancient watermill (already known as “Molinaccio” in the old maps) into the current winery. The vineyard is cultivated at a 70% with Sangiovese, at a 25% with Merlot, and the remainder with other local varieties. Among the products of the winery, apart from wine, it is also worth mentioning the Grappa di Vino Nobile Selection and the “Finocchiaccio”, an alcoholic infusion of wild fennel [in Italian: finocchio selvatico] cultivated to this end in the winery’s land. “Molinaccio” has started a process of conversion into an organic farm that will come to an end this year; such process includes the installation of a photovoltaic system and the purification of the well water.
